I don't have much to add that hasn't already been said. The movie is intense. Heath Ledger is amazing. The story is dark and violent, and there were a few moments when I was wishing for a bit of Tim Burton's whimsicality, or even the camp humor of the Adam West television show. Nevertheless, this is probably the best super hero movie adaptation to date.
At the moment it's #1 at the Internet Movie Database. I doubt it will stay there, and it shouldn't. Back in 2001 Fellowship of the Ring was #1 for a while, but it's settled in down at number 20. It's still impressive, though.

I agree with most of the reviews for the movie as well. How many times can a person say how awesome the movie is? The movie was so intense that I had a headache after I left the theater. Everyone that I know has been talking about the movie this week. Some people that I know said it was better than Spiderman 3.
At any rate, I will say that it ties with Spiderman 2. In my mind, that movie just can't be beat.
